About J-OSAT
The Japan OSAT Association, an industry association for OSATs (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test companies), was established on April 21, 2025, and obtained juridical personality as a general incorporated association on May 2, 2025. We aim to contribute to technological innovation across the semiconductor industry and enhance competitiveness in the global market.
What is OSAT?
OSAT stands for "Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test." It refers to companies and businesses contracted by the semiconductor manufacturers and fabless companies to handle packaging and testing, the back-end processes of semiconductor manufacturing.
